Pack 126 has received 2 grants in 2010!

The first grant from the Iowa Grocery Industry Association will provide 5 benches made from recycled plastic shopping bags.  The benches will be placed around Lake Ahquabi on trails and locations identified by park personnel.

Scouts of Pack 126 collected bags door to door, from their homes and at their school (Irving Elementary). They also created awareness by passing out flyers at Hy-Vee in Indianola, and with press releases, and newspaper articles.  Thank You, Iowa Grocers Industry!

The second grant is from the Warren County Philanthropic Partnership (WCPP), in the amount of $1000.  The grant will help the pack to outfit a trailer and obtain equipment and supplies.  Thank you WCPP!
